Hi to all from South Africa, Gauteng. New to the Forum and would like to get some perspective on starting something small that can be profitable.

I am a divorced mother of one and offcourse my son has a lot of ambition and would like to start a life on a farm.

To get to me I would like to start a small horse stud but have no idea where to begin and what to do.

After 35 years of homesteading I'm always willing to learn more, and help when I can. We do about everything here raise our own livestock, goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, worms, plant our herbs and vegetables,make our cheese and soap just to name a few. We do keep busy. Just fired up the smoker and getting ready to fill it up.
