We have a great dog with the above mix. She is not a pedigreed dog, but what a beauty she is. She is friendly with the kids; they ride on her back, but is also very protective of the farm and her family. She is also great with livestock too. She fiercely guards the sheep in the fields and is quick to alert us if something is amiss. We wouldn't trade her for the world!

Being great with the animals and kids is the best ever. We have a choc. lab named Oden and at 9 he is still full of energy. He guards the animals and everything else on the property. I recently inherited some money from my grandfather. So we decided to put up a steel building. That will give him another thing to keep an eye on! Has anyone ever put up a Steelbuilding http://www.steelbuilding.com/buildings/buildings_main.htm If so how did things go? Im sure it will be fine but living in Northern Michigan we need to get this thing up fast! Oden's going to have quite the time supervising us all on this one:)
