German Shepherds

Well, this list is very quiet, so I thought that I would put my tuppence in as well. We have had some wonderful dogs in the past, some pedigreed and some pavement specials. But the dogs we have at the moment are a German Shepherd and an East European Shepherd. The latter is a particularly handsome dog, despite the fact that he was a truly 'broken' dog when we fetched him from the pound. He had been badly treated and had no spirit, ran away from people and walked around with his tail between his legs. He couldn't even play ball, he just didn't know how, even though he was less than 2 years old.

However, within a year he was a different dog altogether. Now, when you look at him, he always seems to be smiling! I have never seen a dog smile before - but he does. Both dogs are intelligent, obedient, and great watch dogs. Nobody comes on the property without us knowing about it, and they are also extremely loyal. I would have German Shepherds any day.
